I work with special needs children and just love them like crazy. My husband has a sister with Down Syndrome and has also worked with special needs children, so when I was told I probably won't be able to have children we discussed it and decided we need to adopt a special needs child. We both have the experience and the knowledge, so why not use it for good?Sara Lucinda Bellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17371224761784993570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3403254095541641875.post-56100498476586283362012-02-29T17:17:45.645-05:002012-02-29T17:17:45.645-05:00Noelle thanks for writing about this and pushing m...Noelle thanks for writing about this and pushing me to do the same. I have felt so emotional this whole week and the last thing I wanted to do was write about it! But I believe when we voice our convictions we push others to face their own. While I cannot rescue everyone, your post reminded me that if I can do nothing else, I can pray. I often forget how powerful prayer is!

A few years ago I read Terrify No More by Gary Haugan of International Justice Mission. It's the heart-wrenching experiences of rescuing girls in sexual slavery. While almost every page broke my heart, there was so much hope in it too.

P.S. I don't think I ever told you congratulations on your pregnancy! I'm so happy for you! What a blessing!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10835945596267239673noreply@blogger.com
